About Us
Whether you are new to gymnastics or a veteran of the sport, our gym offers a relaxed learning environment for all. Club members can represent the Hokies on the road, competing against other schools, or simply attend the practices for a great workout!
Our team competes at the Club level, we're part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs. Every year we host our home meet during the Fall semester in early November. In the spring we attend 2 to 3 meets at other Universities and participate in the national NAIGC meet where we compete against teams from all over the country. To compete with us, you'll have to help the team fund raise and run our home meet. We work concessions at some of the football games in the fall, and that is the majority of our fund raising, but we are always looking for other ways to raise money.
How to join
The club is open to any VT student, and of course, no experience is necessary. The club dues are $60 per semester or $100 for the year.
You can pay dues with cash or check at McComas Hall Recreation Sports Office
- Checks made out to Treasurer of Virginia Tech
- Directions go in the tunnel entrance, the doors on the right (if you are coming from the roundabout) and the recreation sports main offices are right there
- They will help you at that first big desk.
The first 2 practices are free, so come tryout! (After that you can either pay dues and join the club or pay $5 per practice)
At the VT gymnastics club, we feel it is possible to get a good workout, learn new skills, and have FUN! If you've been turned off by competitive gymnastics, we can help you rediscover your love of the sport with a more relaxed, but still very productive training environment.
